Chapstick, lip balm, call it what you want, it’s that stuff you put on your lips to prevent them from chapping. Now, I don’t know about you but I find it incredibly difficult to find a decent lip balm. I don’t want a lip balm with questionable ingredients but I also don’t want one that will break my bank either. After all, money is hard to come by.

Now, my kid loves lemon and lime so when I found the Badger Lime Rocket Cocoa Butter Lip Balm I knew it had to be tested. Up to now, I’d never seen a lime flavoured chapstick made with decent ingredients. I’ve tested other Badger products before so I had high hopes this would be a winner and I was NOT disappointed.

Product Review: What ingredients are in the Badger Lime Rocket Cocoa Butter Lip Balm

Let’s take a closer look at the ingredients that went into the Badger Lime Rocket Cocoa Butter Lip Balm : organic Olea Europaea (Organic Extra Virgin Olive) Oil, organic Theobroma Cacao (Organic & Fair Trade Certified Cocoa) Butter, organic Cera Alba (Organic Beeswax), organic Ricinus Communis (Organic Castor) Oil, Essential Oils of organic Citrus Aurantifolia (Organic Lime), organic Litsea Cubeba (Organic Litsea), organic Citrus Tangerina (Organic Tangerine), organic Aloe Barbadensis (Organic Aloe) Extract, and CO2 Extracts of organic Rosmarinus Officinalis (Organic Rosemary), organic Rosa Canina (Organic Rosehip), and organic Hippophae Rhamnoides (Organic Seabuckthorn).

OMG, that was a long list but take a moment to decipher it and it’s not bad at all. You’ve got a ton of certified organic ingredients from organic extra virgin olive oil, organic and fair trade cocoa butter, organic beeswax, that all spells goodness to me. The rest of the ingredients are equally good with organic aloe thrown into the mix. Hey, look at that, a lime lip balm with real organic lime, go figure!

I visit the Badger website and learn that the cocoa butter is processed at low temperatures which allows it to keep its “natural, health-giving properties”. The best part: the Badger Lime Rocket Cocoa Butter Lip Balm is flavoured using natural steam distilled essential oils which means you won’t find any fake fragrances in it.

Absolutely amazing!

Product Review: Badger Lime Rocket Cocoa Butter Lip Balm?

The Badger Lime Rocket Cocoa Butter Lip Balm that I found came in this larger size which really appealed to my big kid. Open up the lid and you can instantly smell lime in the air and it smells like REAL lime (obviously). The Badger Lime Rocket Cocoa Butter Lip Balm glides on easily enough and coats well. It doesn’t leave any colour and it isn’t too thick.

Now, I think it’s safe to say most schoolagers aren’t thinking about the condition of their lips. They’re too busy with other stuff but chapped lips are gross and can lead to some serious bloody cracks especially in the cold dry weather. The Badger Lime Rocket Cocoa Butter Lip Balm is the only lip balm my daughter will run to when she needs to moisturize her lips. She’s got a bunch of other ones lying around but this Badger Lime Rocket Cocoa Butter Lip Balm has displaced them all.

Verdict:

I can safely say the Badger Lime Rocket Cocoa Butter Lip Balm is by far one of the best lip balms we’ve ever used. My daughter absolutely loves it and will readily use it with no fuss at all. I pass her a different lip balm and she’ll reluctantly use it. Hand her the Badger Lime Rocket Cocoa Butter Lip Balm and on it goes.

What good is a chapstick if your kid won’t use it. That alone wins major points for the Badger Lime Rocket Cocoa Butter Lip Balm. The fact that it’s got super awesome ingredients makes it that much better over its competitors. Now, it is pricey but then again, so is lipstick and I can’t stand the stuff. So, if it were up to me, I’d easily pay for the Badger Lime Rocket Cocoa Butter Lip Balm and skip that red chemically laced lipstick stuff all together.
