Halloween is around the corner and I still haven’t started on my big kid’s costume yet. If you’ve been following our site, ThingsThatWeDo.com for the past while, you’ll know that I generally will make my kid’s Halloween costume. It’s the one time of year that I allow my creative powers to flow to come up with a costume that brings her ideas to life.
Now, I know, not everyone celebrates Halloween. In our family, Halloween is about creativity and coming up with unique costume ideas that don’t focus on all the gore and bore. While I won’t tell you about the costumes she’s had in the past, I can tell you that they’re pretty cool, unique, and fun. She gets a lot of compliments and I have yet to see anyone with the same costume. You’re intrigued, right? Sorry, won’t tell!
The only problem is, she still hasn’t decided on a costume idea yet. I can’t blame her because she got the sicky germs a while back which completely through our time line off. So, it’s now crunch time and we’ll need to come up with an idea sooner rather than later or I won’t be able to pull it off.
In case you’re wondering, I am NO Martha Stewart. I don’t even think I can sew a straight line but I am incredibly creative-borderline-genius when it comes to costume creations. Once my big kid decides on an idea, I’m going to have to work at the speed of lightning to get it done.
Let’s hope she picks an idea ASAP!
