I haven’t been happy with my toothpaste for a very long time but I haven’t found one that I like. I’m trying to move away from the big brand names with toothpastes that are made with creepy ingredients that I’d prefer to stay away from. I’ve tested some more natural toothpastes before but I still can’t say I’m completely 100% satisfied.
During a recent shopping trip at my local health food store, I decided to pick up this tube of Kiss My Face toothpaste. The Kiss My Face Fluoride Free Triple Action toothpaste claims to remove plaque, prevent tartar build up, while whitening my teeth and do it all while being fluoride free! Could this be my one true toothpaste?
Product Review: What ingredients are in Kiss My Face Fluoride Free Triple Action toothpaste?
Here are the ingredients in the Kiss My Face Fluoride Free Triple Action toothpaste that I picked up in Cool Mint Gel: Sorbitol, Glycerin, Hydrated Silica, Aqua, Xylitol, Aloe Barbadensis ( Aloe Vera Leaf Extract)*, Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut Seed Extract), Olea Europaea (Olive Leaf Extract), Melaleuca Alternafolia (Tea Tree Leaf Oil), Ubiquinone (Co-Q10), Stevia Rebaudiana Extract, Natural Flavor, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint Oil), Ammonium Glycyrrhizate (Licorice), Xanthan Gum, Menthol, Cellulose Gum, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Chlorophyllin- Copper Complex, Potassium Sorbate. *organic
Wow, where do I begin?
First off, I love that the Kiss My Face Fluoride Free Triple Action toothpaste doesn’t have sodium lauryl sulfate. That’s perfect because it’s one of my biggest pet peeves about toothpastes and soaps in general.
There are plenty of good ingredients in this Kiss My Face Fluoride Free Triple Action toothpaste that I just don’t see on many other brands. I mean, how many can claim to have aloe vera leaf extract or olive leaf extract or tea tree leaf oil? It also doesn’t have any artificial flavours or sweeteners and if you didn’t already clue in to this, it’s fluoride free.
Product Test: So, is the Kiss My Face Fluoride Free Triple Action toothpaste any good?
I’ll be honest, I was a little skeptical walking in to this product review. I mean, I’ve tried other natural toothpastes before but I have yet to find one that I’m completely satisfied with. I opted for the Kiss My Face Fluoride Free Triple Action toothpaste in a cool mint gel formulation because it had decent ingredients and it was on sale. I didn’t really care if it could make my teeth any whiter. I was really just looking for toothpaste that would make my teeth feel good and not leave a weird aftertaste or after-effect.
Here’s a close up shot of the Kiss My Face Fluoride Free Triple Action toothpaste in cool mint gel. I love that it isn’t a weird radioactive colour. It’s simple looking and it is super awesome.
How can I possibly explain myself? I mean, it’s toothpaste. It’s supposed to clean your clean and that’s exactly what this Kiss My Face Fluoride Free Triple Action toothpaste does but it does so gently with a great zing. It doesn’t taste like any of the conventional toothpastes. It doesn’t make too many bubbles but it has a decent amount so I don’t feel like I’m missing anything. When I’m done brushing my teeth, they feel clean and there’s a pleasant slightly minty aftertaste that I don’t mind.
Now, I have no idea if my teeth are any whiter and like I said before the whole whitening thing isn’t what appealed me to this product. My teeth certainly feel clean so I’m going to guess that it’s doing a good job of keeping the tartar and plaque at bay without having to resort to crazy weird chemicals.
As of right now, the hubby and I have been using the Kiss My Face Fluoride Free Triple Action toothpaste for at least 2 weeks now and so far so good. We both like it and have no complaints. This alone speaks volumes since the hubby has been quite vocal in the past about his toothpaste.
The Kiss My Face Fluoride Free Triple Action toothpaste leaves our teeth and mouths feeling clean with a nice after effect that we really don’t mind. Personally, I’m in love with the ingredients used in the Kiss My Face Fluoride Free Triple Action toothpaste. Thank you Kiss My Face for making this product without sodium lauryl sulfate. BONUS!
So far, this is one of our favourite toothpastes. Thank you Kiss My Face for providing consumers an amazing alternative to big box store toothpastes.
p.s. I have no idea what Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is but I’m hoping it’s a lot better than sodium lauryl sulfate. Since I’m not an expert, I decided to dig around on the internet and it appears that the two are quite different. I’m not going to go into details but if you’re interested, do a little digging to learn more.
