It is obviously summer time which means we’re all going to sweat a little more. Now, I have to admit, I’m not a big fan of antiperspirants. I hate sweating and I hate to be smelly but I’d rather not use antiperspirants unless I really have no choice.
Speaking of choice let me introduce you to the Green Beaver Citrus Natural Deodorant. I came across the Green Beaver Citrus Natural Deodorant during a recent sale at my local health food store. I purchased 2 Green Beaver Citrus Natural Deodorants for the price of 1 which meant each cost less than the average stick of antiperspirant.
With a really great list of ingredients and an even better price point, how could I resist?

I have no idea what all the terms refer to so I visited the Green Beaver Company website and learned a few more things about the Green Beaver Citrus Natural Deodorant. The Green Beaver Citrus Natural Deodorant is a chemical-free deodorant using sage oil as its anti-odorant base. Apparently, the Green Beaver Citrus Natural Deodorant will eliminate existing smells and prevent new ones too. That’s pretty impressive as is, but it gets better!
The Green Beaver Citrus Natural Deodorant is also free from alcohol, aluminum, ethanol, gluten, GMO, parabens, propylene glycol or PEG, and synthetic fragrance.
When was the last time your antiperspirant could make those claims?
Product Review: Does the Green Beaver Citrus Natural Deodorant work?
At the time of this review, I’ve been using the Green Beaver Citrus Natural Deodorant for about 2 weeks now and so far, I have to say, I love it!
Take a look at the Green Beaver Citrus Natural Deodorant.
You’ll see, it looks like all the other deodorants and antiperspirants out there (i.e. it is possible to make something good with good ingredients and it looks normal too!). Compared to some of the other deodorants and sticks I’ve used in the past, the Green Beaver Citrus Natural Deodorant probably isn’t as solid or hard which doesn’t bother me at all.
The Green Beaver Citrus Natural Deodorant glides on to the skin easily and quickly with very good coverage. It was clear and didn’t leave any odd looking streaks on the skin. I don’t feel sticky or uncomfortable at all. The Green Beaver Citrus Natural Deodorant has a light refreshing citrus scent (unlike that hand soap we tested once, that didn’t smell good AT ALL). During the day I smelled great (i.e. I didn’t stink and I didn’t smell like a walking lemon either). Of course, it’s a deodorant so I did sweat when I needed to sweat but I was never stinky. Ever.
Now, the Green Beaver Citrus Natural Deodorant does claim to have 24 hour protection. I don’t know if this is really the case since I never left it on long enough but I was really happy with it for the duration that I did have it on.
I’m really glad I took advantage of the 2 for 1 sale. If not, I would have never tried the Green Beaver Citrus Natural Deodorant. I was reminded of a few very important lessons:
1. Natural products can work as well those other big brand, chemical based products
2. Natural products can actually cost less than those big brand, chemical based products. Good doesn’t always have to cost more.
A quick note for the folks at Green Beaver Company: I really did like your Green Beaver Citrus Natural Deodorant but I do have one recommendation. I think you should really work on your choice of text on the packaging. My eyesight is quite good but the choice of font made it next to impossible to read some of the information on the Green Beaver Citrus Natural Deodorant. With such good quality ingredients, they deserve to be emphasized using a clearer font (e.g. think Arial) and in a larger font size. I mean, when something is that good, why not show it off?
