The first time I reviewed a Simply 7 product was back in 2013. The next time I did was in August 2015. It’s now December 2015 and here I am with one more Simply 7 review.


Because a pal at work picked up this bag of Simply 7 Sea Salt Quinoa Chips and I was curious to see why my opinion would be of these quinoa chips. I like quinoa and I have it all the time but not usually in chip form. Hey, when pals buy, I try!

Product Review: What ingredients are in the Simply 7 Sea Salt Quinoa Chips?

The Simply 7 Sea Salt Quinoa Chips are made with the following ingredients: quinoa flour, potato starch, corn starch, expeller pressed safflower oil, corn flour, cane and/or beet sugar, evaporated sugar cane juice, sea salt. - simply 7 quinoa chips

Love that I can read all the ingredients on this list and better yet, it seems a little simpler than the last bag of Simply 7 hummus chips I had. A quick glance at the nutrition label and these Simply 7 Sea Salt Quinoa Chips might be less salty than those hummus chips too. Per ½ package (50 grams) gives you 19% of your daily intake of sodium. The hummus chips gave up 21% for the same 50 grams. It’s not a huge difference but at least it is a difference. Granted, it’s still a lot of salt! - simply 7 quinoa chips
Taste Test: so about those Simply 7 Sea Salt Quinoa Chips

First things first, I definitely like the texture of these Simply 7 Sea Salt Quinoa Chips more than I did those hummus chips. They’re lighter and crispier and although salty, aren’t as salty as the hummus chips. The hummus chips had a noticeably heavier, thicker, denser crunch. These Simply 7 Sea Salt Quinoa Chips are much lighter and even better, I only needed a few chips to feel satisfied. - simply 7 quinoa chips


Overall, of the three flavours that I’ve tried from the Simply 7 line, these quinoa chips are by far my favourite. Although they’re still on the salty end, they have a light crunch to them that I don’t mind. I wouldn’t eat the whole bag but I might add them to a party table and pair them with a tangy tomato dip of some kind.

Yep, that about sums it up.
