thingsthatwedo.com - pc organics vegetable stone wheat crackersWhy PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers? Well, that depends.

If you like crackers and you’ve been munching away on them then you may want to compare the ingredients on your favourite box with this box of PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers.

There’s a particular brand of veggie crackers that my big kid tried a while back. She liked it but I wasn’t a big fan of it. I took a gander at the ingredient list on THAT box of veggie crackers and I was completely grossed out.

Fast forward to this box of PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers and I was intrigued enough to pick it up for a taste test.

Taste Test: What ingredients are in the PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers?

Thoughts?

Well, the best part about this ingredient list is that I recognize all the words on it. The ingredients are organic based although I don’t care for the canola oil (but you already knew that) but the rest are decent. There aren’t any super long chemical based or odd ingredients on this list. That’s always reassuring and certainly looks a lot more appealing than the list of ingredients I saw on that OTHER box.

Product Review: are the PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers any good?

Ultimately, I’ll eat a few crackers even if they’re subpar because I like the way they crunch. I haven’t been a big fan of potato chips for the longest time (I actually prefer baby carrots to chips nowadays if you can believe that) so crackers come in handy when I want something crunchy. So, I’m not the one these PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers have to impress.

Now, my big kid is the one that needs to like these PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers because if she doesn’t like them, then there’s no need to keep them in the home.

The big kid was quite excited to test out these PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers and luckily for them, they didn’t disappoint. She took one bite and said, “Yum” and then said it reminded her of those other veggie crackers that she liked. I agreed and noted that the difference was in the quality of ingredients chosen for the PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers. I just couldn’t bring myself to buy that other brand. She gave this box of PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers the thumbs up.

The PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers have the typical crunch you’d expect from a cracker but it also comes with a slight savory kick. You can see little flecks of the dehydrated veggies with little salt sparkles (at least they tasted like salt).

I tried the PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers with a bowl of soup and thought they added a nice touch to my otherwise ho hum liquid excuse for a soup (that was store bought, sadly).

The sodium content in these PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers is decent. You get 4% of your daily intake of sodium per 8 crackers (21 g) which is kind of middle ground depending on the other types of crackers you eat. Some Goldfish crackers have more than that amount of sodium in a similar serving size. I’m not sure if it was just me but I found these PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers to be less salty than their similar counterparts.

Verdict:

Would I buy these PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers again?

Likely.

Despite the use of canola oil, the rest of the ingredients used to make these PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers are okay. They’re certainly better than many other crackers that are out there on the supermarket shelves.

Really, truly, today’s product review isn’t about this particular box of PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers.

No.

My point is this: as a consumer, you don’t have to settle for substandard products just because you feel like there aren’t other options out there. In fact, there are. The existence of PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers means I don’t have to buy that other box of veggie crackers with nightmare ingredients. So, perhaps a ‘thank you’ is in order to the folks who made the PC Organics Vegetable Stone Wheat Crackers. Thank you for making options possible.

Now, if only I can find a decent packaged soup (I know, that sounds horrible but I have my lazy days).
