thingsthatwedo.com - PC waffle cones with PC chocolate ice cream

No, I haven’t done it yet this year but I’m sensing that it’s about to happen sometime soon. The weather is getting warmer which means in the very near future, my freezer will have a few cartons of ice cream just screaming to be enjoyed.

Come on, you have to admit that photo of ice cream wedged inside a waffle cone sure does look enticing, doesn’t it?

Yep, that photo was taken last year when I picked up a box of President’s Choice Waffle Cones for a product taste test. There were so many reviews to do last year that I never did get around to doing it so I guess I’m making up for it now with an honorary mention.

Knowing what you know about my baking skills, you know I’m never going to make my own waffle cones. That’s just near impossible so if our family feels like waffle cones, we’re going to have to purchase them knowing that it’s a ‘sometimes treat’.

I have to say, the President’s Choice Waffle Cones didn’t disappoint in the taste category. They were crisp, they were crunchy, and they went really well with the ice cream.

I wasn’t a big fan of the Styrofoam packaging but I guess that’s one way to reduce the chances of having your waffle cones become waffle bits although I’m sure there’s another way to do it. In any case, it was a nice treat but I’m not sure if we’ll repeat it this year.

Maybe I’ll try a different product.

I mean, hey, we’ve got the whole summer to figure these things out!
