I’m a little picky when it comes to my ice cream. I like my ice cream to be creamy and smooth. I don’t like my ice cream overly aerated and frothy (to this day, the Breyer’s Double Churn ice cream still gives me night mares and I reviewed that back in 2011!). I’ve always liked Haagen Dazs ice cream but I’ve never had their strawberry ice cream.

I was in the mood to try something a little different so I picked up a little tub of Haagen Dazs Strawberry Ice Cream fully confident that it would be a very happy experience and I was not wrong.

Product Review: What Ingredients are in Haagen Dazs Strawberry Ice Cream?

Let’s go straight to the heart of this Haagen Dazs Strawberry Ice Cream. The ingredients that make the Haagen Dazs Strawberry Ice Cream are simple and easy: cream, strawberries, concentrated skim milk, sugar, liquid egg yolk. That’s it. When it comes to ice cream, the simpler the better; no fuss, no muss.

Product Review: How does the Haagen Dazs Strawberry Ice Cream taste?

Open the tub of Haagen Dazs Strawberry Ice Cream and this is what I’m greeted with: smooth, decadent looking ice cream with bits of strawberry. Ah…and it smells good too.

Take a bite and yep, it’s just as I suspected: rich, smooth, creamy goodness with an authentic strawberry taste. Weird, the Haagen Dazs Strawberry Ice Cream actually reminds me the ice cream I had when I was a kid. There’s just something so incredibly warm about it. The Haagen Dazs Strawberry Ice Cream is made simply and tastes the way ice cream should. It makes me happy, it really does.

I could go on and on but what more is there to say except that the Haagen Dazs Strawberry Ice Cream is simply perfect in every way. If you like strawberry ice cream, this is the one to go with. Sure, I know it’s rich but that’s also why one little tub of Haagen Dazs Strawberry Ice Cream will easily last me for weeks on end. I definitely don’t eat ½ cup in one sitting. You don’t need much when it tastes this good. Yummm….this is what summers were made for.
