Chicken broth, cool? No way.

Yes, way.

Well, if you’re Pacific Organic Low Sodium Chicken Broth, you’ve got a few reasons to feel cool. For one, it’s made with a decent list of ingredients and as if that wasn’t enough, this recent pack I picked up comes in 4 individually packaged portions each containing 236mL. - pacific-organic-chicken-broth

Why is that cool you ask? Well, let’s start with the ingredients, shall we?

Product review: what ingredients are in the Pacific Organic Low Sodium Chicken Broth?

Take a look at the box of Pacific Organic Low Sodium Chicken Broth and you’ll see this list of ingredients: organic chicken broth (water, organic chicken, organic rosemary extract), organic chicken flavour, organic cane sugar, yeast extract, organic onion powder. - pacific-organic-chicken-broth

A pretty decent list if you ask me.

Yes, I know you could make your own chicken broth but we all know there are days when you just don’t have the time to do it all from scratch. Dinner is calling and you’ve got to get something on the table as soon as possible before the fangs and claws come out. Pacific Organic’s Low Sodium Chicken Broth helps to make those meal times go a lot faster when you’re in a pinch. To know it’s made with choice ingredients certainly makes me feel less guilty. - pacific-organic-chicken-broth

How does Pacific Organic’s Low Sodium Chicken Broth taste? Exactly as chicken broth should but without all that crazy sodium that many other brands plop into their packaged broths. You get noticeable chicken broth flavour but with only 3% of your daily intake of sodium within that 236mL serving. - pacific-organic-chicken-broth

So, what’s so great about the packaging?

Whoever thought of this at Pacific Organic definitely had their thinking cap on. Initially, this may seem like a lot of excessive and wasteful packaging but I don’t see it this way.

Ever open a box of chicken broth and have it sit in your fridge for far too long? It sits there. It stares at you, begging to be used but the next few meals you cook simply don’t need it. So, it continues to sit there and suddenly, it’s well past its prime.

Down the drain it goes and along with it, your dollar.

Flipside: you know the chicken broth is going to sit in your fridge and you know it’ll never be used again and you don’t want to waste your money so you decide to dump the entire box of chicken broth into whatever food you’re cooking. Sure, it’s a little saltier than you’d like it to be, but oh well. At least you saved your dollar. Add more water and a few more ingredients and now you’re eating the same food for the next week. Before you know it, you’re in the same predicament: you need dinner on the table fast and you’re grabbing another box of chicken broth and the cycle continues.

In a rush to make dinner? Grab one, open, pour, done. You still have three more to use. They don’t need to be stored in the fridge and they’ll be ready for you whenever you need them next (whenever that ‘next’ may be). So, while it may seem like a lot of excessive packaging in the beginning, I can tell you that my one pack of individually wrapped portions of Pacific Organic Low Sodium Chicken Broth lasted significantly longer than any other pack of broth I’ve ever purchased.

The boxes are smaller, have less sodium, last longer, and are made with choice ingredients.

Case closed if you ask me. - pacific-organic-chicken-broth

p.s. the Pacific Ocean organic chicken broth comes in a full box too if you need it!
