I feel like I haven’t reviewed a jam in a while, I mean, really review. Lately, I’ve noticed a lot of bad eggs on the supermarket shelves but I haven’t come across a good one that I’d at least be willing to try.

Ah, that’s where Crofter’s Organic Mango Premium Spread comes in. I’m a big fan of mangoes and so when I saw a mango spread by a company I recognize, I just couldn’t resist doing this taste test. The best part was, the Crofter’s Organic Mango Premium Spread was on sale for less than $4!

Product Review: What ingredients are in Crofter’s Organic Mango Premium Spread?

thingsthatwedo.com - crofters organic mango premium spreadHere are the ingredients in Crofter’s Organic Mango Premium Spread: organic mango, organic fair trade cane sugar, natural apple pectin, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), citric acid.

Thoughts? I love the fact that organic mango is the first ingredient on the list. Remember when I did that quick lemon curd product and lemon was nowhere near the top of the ingredient list? Crofter’s Organic Mango Premium Spread is a far cry from that other product. Kudos to Crofter’s for putting organic mango as the first ingredient on the list. It may seem like an obvious choice but based on all the duds that I’ve seen on the supermarket shelves, this is something that needs to be appreciated. I also like that organic fair trade cane sugar is used instead of any fructose glucose garbage.

Ugh..no thank you!

Product Review: How does Crofter’s Organic Mango Premium Spread taste?

thingsthatwedo.com - crofters organic mango premium spreadOpen the jar of Crofter’s Organic Mango Premium Spread and instantly, I’m greeted by the smell of mangoes. That’s a very good sign indeed.

For today’s taste test, I toast some bread and then decide to pair Crofter’s Organic Mango Premium Spread with some cream cheese.

thingsthatwedo.com - crofters organic mango premium spreadCrofter’s Organic Mango Premium Spread has some noticeable chunks of mango in it and it spreads easily enough. I take my first bite and yep…it’s a WINNER. Crofter’s Organic Mango Premium Spread is sweet but not overly so and the taste of the organic mango really shines. The mango chunks add a nice texture and it also complements the cream cheese very well. I often like eating my jam this way because it makes me feel as though I’m having cheesecake for breakfast.

Verdict:

Would I buy Crofter’s Organic Mango Premium Spread again? Yes, I would and quite frankly, I feel like I haven’t been able to say that about some t of the jams I’ve reviewed lately. Less than $4, this jar of Crofter’s Organic Mango Premium Spread was a great investment in my opinion although fair warning: the packaging does have a reminder that it should be consumed within 20 days of opening.

thingsthatwedo.com - crofters organic mango premium spreadThe way I’m going with Crofter’s Organic Mango Premium Spread, I don’t think that’ll be a problem at all!

When I take that stroll down jam lane at the grocery store, I’m appalled by some of the choices that are out there. I particularly appreciate that this Crofter’s jam is non GMO. I mean, how many companies can make that claim nowadays? Thank goodness there’s always Crofter’s and with a ton of options to choose from, I’m sure there’s one that any family would enjoy!
