What’s not to love about hummus? I love hummus but occasionally I do get a little bored of the classic hummus mix so I jumped for joy when I found the Fontaine Sante Roasted Beets hummus dip. I mean, it’s got BEETS! What’s not to love about beets?
I love beets. I love how they taste, the texture, the bright vibrant raspberry colour, beets are simply magical. Pair them with hummus and it seemed like the perfect match. Someone pass me the toast!
Product Review: what ingredients are in the Fontaine Sante Roasted Beets Hummus Dip?
Here are the ingredients that went in to this Fontaine Sante Roasted Beets hummus dip: chickpeas, water, roasted beets, tahini (sesame butter), canola oil, concentrated lemon juice, sea salt, vinegar, garlic juice, onion, maple syrup, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, herbs.
Thoughts? Well, I love most of the ingredients minus the canola oil but aside from that, it’s a pretty impressive list. I mean, chickpeas are the first ingredient followed by water and roasted beets. That’s a pretty good start but the best part is the taste.
Time for the taste test: Fontaine Sante Roasted Beets Hummus Dip
First things first, this is not your average hummus although my mediocre pic really doesn’t do it justice (the next pic is better).
I mean, get a good look at the rich vibrant colour of this hummus thanks to those roasted beets. The taste is even better. This Fontaine Sante Roasted Beets hummus dip is smooth, creamy, a bit on the sweeter side but you still taste the chickpeas and hummus goodness. The addition of the roasted beets really helps to jazz up the hummus dip and really brightened my morning slice of toast.
Talk about yum! This is one dip worth eating and appreciating.
