thingsthatwedo.com - cadbury dairy milk with pretzel and peanut butter

Anyone who regularly visits ThingsThatWeDo.com knows that I’m not a giant fan of chocolate. I’ve reviewed a number of chocolate products and most get mediocre comments at best. I often find chocolates too sweet to even do it justice. On the rare occasion, I find something I really really like that makes me really happy.

Enter Cadbury’s Dairy Milk chocolate bar with Pretzel and Peanut Butter. Boy, talk about a tasty piece of chocolate. The flavours of this chocolate bar blend so well I’m surprised other companies haven’t tried to mimic them! What makes this Cadbury’s Dairy Milk chocolate bar with Pretzel and Peanut Butter so special? - Continue Reading

thingsthatwedo.com - betty crockers lemon flavoured dessert bar mix

There I am standing at the grocery store pondering all the boxed stuff on the shelves and this box catches my eye: Betty Crocker’s Lemon Flavoured Dessert Bar Mix.

You see, I make lemon bars and while I’m no expert baker by any means, I’d have to say my lemon bars are pretty tasty. So, if I can make lemon bars that means they’re relatively easy to make.

Thus, my brain has to ask: what’s inside this box of Betty Crocker’s Lemon Flavoured Dessert Bar Mix? If I was in a rush, would I use this box? - Continue Reading

thingsthatwedo.com - taste of nature chocolate pecan brownie granola

You know I’m not much of a chocolate fan but I was intrigued by these Taste of Nature granola bars because they’re organic and non-GMO. They also happened to be on sale so it was a good excuse to test them out.

Questions in my head as I picked up the box – would they be too sweet, would they taste good, would they be worth the money I spent (even on sale)?

Well, let’s just see, shall we?

thingsthatwedo.com - snack-pack-chocolate-pudding

Not too long ago, I posted my experience of making my own chocolate pudding. I’d never done it before and I was surprised that it wasn’t as tough as I’d thought it would be. The best part, I knew exactly what I’d put in to the chocolate pudding. If I wanted to, I could modify the sugar amount and maybe in the future, I could even jazz it up a bit. I have no idea HOW I’d jazz it up. I haven’t figured that out yet but the point being, I’d have the option to do so. You get that kind of freedom when you make your own stuff.

It then got me wondering: what’s in the store bought stuff? - Continue Reading

thingsthatwedo.com - lets-do-organic-organic-cornstarch

Allow me to introduce you to my first ever batch of chocolate pudding. It’s not something I’ve ever considered making until I saw the recipe on the back of the Let’s Do Organic Cornstarch box. As it so happened, I had all the needed ingredients in my home so I decided to try something new.

Not bad, right?

Here’s the original recipe off the box of Let’s Do Organic Cornstarch: - Continue Reading

thingsthatwedo.com - nature-valley-roasted-nut-crunch-bars

Move over potato chip. See you later rice cracker. There is a new fave in town. I don’t know who came up with this concoction over at General Mills but I’m absolutely in love with these Nature Valley Roasted Nut Crunch Bars with Roasted Peanuts and Sunflower Seeds. Yes, it’s a mouthful but there are quite a few different flavours in this line up and I’m only vouching for the Nature Valley Roasted Nut Crunch Bars with Roasted Peanuts and Sunflower Seeds. I tried another flavour which paled in comparison so I’m not even going to mention it.

If you want crunch that reminds you of peanut brittle (but better), look no further. These Nature Valley Roasted Nut Crunch Bars with Roasted Peanuts and Sunflower Seeds are it. - Continue Reading

thingsthatwedo.com - bamboo lane crunchy rice rollers

Do you know what this is?

Yes, it’s an empty bag. It used to be a full bag of Bamboo Lane Crunchy Rice Rollers. It was a treat from a friend. She told me to share with the family and that’s what I did. I was about to take a photo of the unopened bag. I stepped away to find the camera and when I came back, well, the bag was already opened and a few of the rice rollers had disappeared. I managed to at least snap a photo of what they look like.
