thingsthatwedo.com - pure anada natural black mascara

A little while back I made the decision to simplify the ingredients used on my face and skin. Knowing that I have relatively temperamental and sensitive skin I thought it was time to be more mindful of what I plastered on to my face.

Most recently, I fell in love with Pure Anada. I love their chapsticks, their mineral foundation, and now I’ve fallen in love with their mascara. I purchased the Pure Anada Natural Mascara at my local health food store and oddly enough, it was roughly the same price (if not cheaper) than many big brand mascaras.  I mean, the answer seemed pretty obvious to me! - Continue Reading

thingsthatwedo.com - green beaver wildflower beeswax frosty mint lip balm

Well, that’s quite wordy but hey, I didn’t come up with the name. I picked up these Green Beaver lip balms a while back but didn’t get a chance to try them out until now. They were on sale. I purchased 2 of these Green Beaver lip balms for less than $4. Even though I had so many other lip balms at home, I couldn’t resist and picked them up. I mean, $4 for 2 Green Beaver lip balms?

Talk about an amazing deal!

thingsthatwedo.com - pacifica natural minerals mysterical supernatural eye shadow palette

For the longest time, I’ve been trying to go more natural with my makeup. Given that I’m prone to looking like a raccoon, it’s somewhat inevitable that I wear makeup to go to work lest I scare my colleagues senseless. My makeup used to come from a wide variety of brands usually based on price and colour. As I get older, I realized I wanted something more out of the makeup I put on my face. I wanted more natural products with ingredients that didn’t feed into my paranoid thinking.

I recently went to my local health food store and found Pacifica Natural Minerals Mystical Supernatural Eye Shadow Palette on sale for less than $15. It was a decent price especially when you consider that many big box store brands have similar prices.

Let’s just say it was my lucky day!

thingsthatwedo.com - pure anada cocoa mint lip balm

Okay, I might as well just come right out and say it: I LOVE this chapstick. The Pure Anada Cocoa Mint lip balm glides on smoothly and leaves a minty zing on my lips. My lips feel nourished and refreshed.

Well, I could leave this product review at just that but I’m sure you’d want a few details right? - Continue Reading

I like Sukin skin products. They’re made well with quality ingredients and are available at an affordable price. If you want consumers to switch over to better ingredients, having a decent price point is important.

Enter Sukin Antioxidant Eye Serum, my most recent love. I’ve reviewed some of their other skin care products before and I decided to test out their eye serum because hey, my eye area needs help too and deserves to be taken care of. Besides, on top of being affordable, the Sukin Antioxidant Eye Serum was also on sale.

Translation: perfect for a test run! - Continue Reading

Once upon a time in the corners of a cold day in December 2013, thanks to NailPolishCanada.com, I reviewed this product called Epicare. For our new readers who may not be familiar with it, think removal of unwanted facial hair. Yes, that’s what Epicare does. I later did an update on it in February 2014 and I feel like it’s time for another one.

Almost 9 months later, how is this little Epicare gadget doing? - Continue Reading

thinsthatwedo.com - green beaver zesty orange lip balmCopyright© 2014 ThingsThatWeDo.com. All Rights Reserved.

A little while ago our family picked up the Green Beaver Zesty Orange toothpaste again. We had reviewed it many moons ago and although we the adults did not like it much at the time, fast forward to 2014 and it happens to be my big kid’s favourite toothpaste. She never participated in the original review because she was much too young to try out adult toothpaste.

Part of the reason why we decided to buy the Green Beaver Zesty Orange toothpaste again was because it came with a Green Beaver Zesty Orange lip balm. The toothpaste was about $3.99 and lip balm alone is usually about that much so it seemed like a great bargain and gave me a chance to test out yet another Green Beaver product.

My big kid was eager to try the Green Beaver Zesty Orange lip balm since she’s going through an “I love all things citrus” phase.

Yeah, well, about that…. - Continue Reading
