Our family drinks almond milk or almond beverage (whatever you want to call it, you know what I mean). We’ve been trying different varieties and we’ve tasted a few different flavours. Up to now, we’ve only tried almond milk that comes in a carton. Recently, we decided to try Earth’s Own Almond on the go! in chocolate flavour. They came in these cute little tetra boxes and were perfect for carting around.

If you’re looking for an almond beverage and you want to treat yourself, you should definitely give Earth’s Own Almond on the go! in chocolate flavour a try. I’m not a chocolate fan and I like it! – Continue Reading

Keep your eyes open and you may just be surprised at what you’ll find. There’s a neat little Italian supermarket that our family frequents and they’ve got some really great treats that I can’t seem to find anywhere else. On one particular visit, I spotted this bottle of Italian Volcano organic lemonade and decided I’d surprise my big kid with it. She loves all things lemon at this moment and I figured she’d get quite a kick out of it.

Was I right?

I have decided that sweetened almond milk is NOT for me. I like my almond milk or almond ‘beverage’ plain, original, or neutral. How did I learn this fact? Well, I recently picked up this carton of Silk True Almond Vanilla Fortified Almond Beverage. Why? It was on sale and the plain ol’ regular one was sold out. So, I settled for this one.
BIG MISTAKE.

The sole reason why I’m doing this review is because my daughter told me to. We were at a grocery store and she yanks me over and tells me to take photos of it. I’m not sure why but away I snap. Then she tells me I should review it. I ask why. Her answer is pretty simple: “Mom, it says True Lemon. I’m pretty sure there isn’t a real lemon in there.”

Now, I’m probably paraphrasing since it’s taken me a little while to type this all up but I’m 99.9% sure I’ve got her basic concept down. She’s right. The product is called True Lemon but is there any possible way that a real lemon is inside the box?

Most kids like pop. Who am I kidding, most adults like pop (except for me, can’t stand it). However, just because you like something doesn’t mean you should always have it. It also doesn’t mean it’s good for you.

When I can, I try to look for other alternatives. In this case, I’m thinking of an alternative to the common soft drink loaded with sugar and a bunch of other ingredients. Sure, there’s carbonated water which you can add fresh juice too but it isn’t always portable or convenient. So, is there another option?

Here’s an average looking can of Limonata (aka lemon) San Pellegrino. How do you think this Limonata San Pellegrino stacks up against the well known soda pop?

I’m in the mood to try something a little outside my comfort zone but not much. It’s been a hard week and there’s only so much change that I can handle at one given time. I spot the Earth’s Own Original Almond Beverage on my grocery store shelf. I’ve never had it before so why not give it a try? Okay, I’ll be honest, the ingredient list isn’t stellar (it’s got canola oil and you know how I feel about that) but it isn’t enough to completely scare me away.

Given my tired state of mind today’s post will be a relatively short one but I’ll try my best to entertain!

Starbucks Caramel Flan Latte. Did you try it yet? Recently, I got one of those Starbucks emails with a coupon attached to it. This time, it was to try the Starbucks Caramel Flan Latte for $2. I’ve never tried it before so why not? It’s $2 and I needed a little extra caffeine and besides, it’s got whipped cream and I love whipped cream.

Take a look at my Starbucks Caramel Flan Latte. Looks pretty good doesn’t it? Decadently drenched with whipped cream and caramel drizzle, the Starbucks Caramel Flan Latte certainly looked good but would it taste good?

The whipped cream was phenomenal and always pairs well with caramel. Then, I hit the actual caramel flan latte.

Here’s the answer to that question: I’m not sure.

I have no clue what oat tea is. I’m not even sure that’s what I should be calling it but that’s what I’m going to say. This post has taken me a while to do because I just wasn’t sure what angle to use and I wanted to provide more details to make a well rounded review for all of our readers at ThingsThatWeDo.com. I tried to contact the folks at Clef Des Champs by email back in November 2013 but never heard back from them. Needless to say, I’ve given up on that route.

So…I’m just going to do the best I can based on what little I know!

Reason for this post: I was at my local health food store back in November 2013 and came across the Clef Des Champs Oats tea also known as Avena Sativa. At that time, the staff told me oat tea has a lot of great health properties most of which I’ve forgotten by now. I seem to remember calcium and a soothing benefit during times when you’re feeling icky (ie. soon to be sick) as two of the possible advantages to drinking oat tea but don’t quote me.

Since I can’t remember a thing, I decided to do a little digging and this is what I found out.

I’ve never had chocolate almond milk (aka that non-dairy almond beverage). I’ve always preferred the basic non-flavoured versions but on this particular shopping excursion, I decided to pick up the Natur-A Enriched Chocolate Almond Beverage. I wanted to try something different yet familiar. It might also be a nice decadent treat that still has enough goodies in it to not make me feel too guilty about drinking it!

So..about this Natur-A Enriched Chocolate Almond Beverage….

I drink almond milk aka almond beverage, non dairy almond drink or whatever else you’d like to call it. Ever since I made the switch to drinking almond milk (okay, I know it’s not milk per se but quite frankly, it sounds odd calling it an almond beverage so bear with me) I’ve come to realize that there are a lot of brands that make it.

True to ThingsThatWeDo.com form, I’ve tried to sample different brands whenever possible. My choices are often fueled by price and availability. So, for today’s product review, I decided to take a closer look at the Pacific Foods Organic Almond non-dairy beverage (that’s a mouthful).

The Pacific Foods Organic Almond non-dairy beverage was on sale at just under $3 so was closer to the usual price I’d pay for my regular almond drink. Normally, it’s quite a bit higher which is why I haven’t gone near it prior to today. Let’s see what this is all about, shall we?
