thingsthatwedo.com - simply 7 quinoa chips

The first time I reviewed a Simply 7 product was back in 2013. The next time I did was in August 2015. It’s now December 2015 and here I am with one more Simply 7 review.

Why?

Because a pal at work picked up this bag of Simply 7 Sea Salt Quinoa Chips and I was curious to see why my opinion would be of these quinoa chips. I like quinoa and I have it all the time but not usually in chip form. Hey, when pals buy, I try! – Continue Reading

thingsthatwedo.com - triscuit with dill sea salt and olive oil

Have you noticed them recently – these boxes of Christie Triscuits. I turned around one day at the grocery store and there they were, a whole variety of Christie Triscuit crackers just screaming to be tasted. I mean, the flavours were all so intriguing and they all sounded so tasty. They also happened to be on sale so after much consideration, I ended up with a box of Christie Triscuit seasoned with dill, sea salt, and olive oil.

These are definitely not your everyday Triscuits.

Enter Neal Brothers Extremely Tasty Organic Tortillas, a super duper yummy tortilla chip that makes snacking a delight! I discovered them recently at my local health food store. The Neal Brothers Extremely Tasty Organic Tortillas were on sale which prompted me to pick them up for a product review.

When my big kid first saw the bag, she immediately said, “BLUE? The chips are BLUE?” to which I replied, “Yep!” Her response, “Cooooool!” She was definitely in for a surprise because not only did I buy the tortilla chips but I also bought some mild salsa as well.

Correction: I think the entire family is in for a treat!

thingsthatwedo.com - stacys pretzel thinsI have a friend that loves to eat pretzel thins or pretzel crisps. You know, they look like pretzels that have been sliced into thin little chips. That stuff. She loves eating them and she has one preferred brand.

During a recent trip to the grocery store, I stumbled across this bag of Stacy’s Pretzel Thins. They were on sale so I decided to buy them for her as a treat. I’ve tried other Stacy’s products before and I enjoyed them so I figured this was a pretty safe gift to give.

Wrong.

thingsthatwedo.com - barbaras cheez puffsSometimes, you just need a little treat. That’s where Barbara’s Cheez Puffs comes in to my home. My daughter and I both love cheesies and well, so does the hubby. We look for goodies that are yummy and better than the average pile of goop. Lo and behold, there’s Barbara’s Cheez Puffs sitting at my grocery store shelf.

You can see by the disheveled look of the bag that we thoroughly enjoyed the cheez puffs before I had a chance to take a photo of the bag.

Oops!

thingsthatwedo.com - Simply 7 sea salt hummus chips

The last time I had Simply 7 hummus chips was back in 2013 when I tried the tomato basil flavour. Fast forward to 2015 and I received this bag of Simply 7 sea salt hummus chips as part of my edible birthday stash of goodies.

One fine day at work, my pals and I decided to crack open this bag of Simply 7 sea salt hummus chips. After all, chips are meant to be shared with friends. What better time to have a taste test and see what everyone thinks. – Continue Reading

thignsthatwedo.com - smartfood creamy dill popcornYou know, I’m a person of very simple means. I don’t need much and I don’t ask for much because quite frankly I like seeing the world from a ‘cup half full’ perspective. So, even the smallest acts of kindness will put a huge grin on my face.

Like when it was my birthday and my pals at work gave me a hummus cake adorned with rice cakes (you had to be there to appreciate it).

Or when they gave me a basketful of edible goodies.

Yep, they sure do know how to make me happy: FOOD.
This bag of Smartfood Creamy Dill Popcorn came as part of the birthday gift so of course I had to open it so we could all try it together! – Continue Reading

thingsthatwedo.com - pepperidge farm pretzel goldfish crackersIf pretzels had a middle name I bet you it would be ‘salt’ with a capital ‘S’. Hey, it’s no secret: pretzels are salty. Some are saltier than others but the two words are pretty synonymous.

Pretzels are tasty. They’re crunchy, they’re savory, and they offer an alternative to the conventional potato chip. But, they’re salty and that’s definitely something to keep an eye out for.

I took a moment to dig through the ThingsThatWeDo.com archives and came across these images of Pepperidge Farm Pretzel Goldfish Crackers and realized that I’d never posted about them. Looks like I have a lot of time to make up! – Continue Reading

thingsthatwedo.com - elco sesame rice crackers

A couple of weeks ago, I did a product review on a different brand of rice cracker and discovered a surprising ingredient in it. I then started to wonder if other brands of rice crackers would also use surprising ingredients.

A pal at work purchased this pack of Elco Sesame Rice Crackers so I decided to take a closer look to see what these rice crackers were made of. Guess what? There’s no beeswax involved. – Continue Reading

thingsthatwedo.com - general mills original bugles

Once upon a time, I was a kid and when I was a kid I remember eating Bugles. Yes, I do. They were crunchy, they were salty, and they were yummy.

Did I mention I was a kid back then?

Well, when I was a kid I know I never read ingredient labels and I know I never read the nutrition facts. Thank goodness I’ve learned to do both as an adult and my child does it too.

So…on one random occasion a pal and I were at a store and we come across this bag of Original Bugles. I hadn’t seen Bugles in AGES. I couldn’t help myself and picked it up for a gander. Naturally, I flipped the bag over to read the ingredient list and nutrition facts.

OMG…. – Continue Reading
