thingsthatwedo.com - belvita breakfast oatmeal crunch biscuits

Allow me to introduce you to this very crumpled up pack of Belvita Breakfast Oatmeal Crunch biscuits. I got it a while back as a sample treat to test out. I can’t remember where I was or how I got it but I came across these photos and realized I’d never done a post about them. I had a thought and wanted to share so here I am talking about these biscuits.

For the record, these Belvita Breakfast Oatmeal Crunch biscuits are crunchy, sweet, with a noticeable oatmeal taste. Would I eat them for breakfast though, that I’m not so sure of.

thingsthatwedo.com - taste of nature chocolate pecan brownie granola

You know I’m not much of a chocolate fan but I was intrigued by these Taste of Nature granola bars because they’re organic and non-GMO. They also happened to be on sale so it was a good excuse to test them out.

Questions in my head as I picked up the box – would they be too sweet, would they taste good, would they be worth the money I spent (even on sale)?

Well, let’s just see, shall we?

thingsthatwedo.com - belvita-cocoa-breakfast-bites

Allow me to introduce you to this very unassuming bag of belVita Cocoa Breakfast Bites. I did not buy this bag of belVita Cocoa Breakfast Bites. No, I did not. It came to me as a free sample and as a wise family member once told me: “You don’t say no to free samples.”

So true.

Truth be told, the folks are belVita are quite lucky I received this bag of Cocoa Breakfast Bites as a free sample because I guarantee you I would have never bought this myself at the grocery store. It’s simply not something I would be interested in buying.

Question is: how are these belVita Cocoa Breakfast Bites?

Well…personal preference is personal preference. - Continue Reading

thingsthatwedo.com - nature-valley-roasted-nut-crunch-bars

Move over potato chip. See you later rice cracker. There is a new fave in town. I don’t know who came up with this concoction over at General Mills but I’m absolutely in love with these Nature Valley Roasted Nut Crunch Bars with Roasted Peanuts and Sunflower Seeds. Yes, it’s a mouthful but there are quite a few different flavours in this line up and I’m only vouching for the Nature Valley Roasted Nut Crunch Bars with Roasted Peanuts and Sunflower Seeds. I tried another flavour which paled in comparison so I’m not even going to mention it.

If you want crunch that reminds you of peanut brittle (but better), look no further. These Nature Valley Roasted Nut Crunch Bars with Roasted Peanuts and Sunflower Seeds are it. - Continue Reading

thingsthatwedo.com - bamboo lane crunchy rice rollers

Do you know what this is?

Yes, it’s an empty bag. It used to be a full bag of Bamboo Lane Crunchy Rice Rollers. It was a treat from a friend. She told me to share with the family and that’s what I did. I was about to take a photo of the unopened bag. I stepped away to find the camera and when I came back, well, the bag was already opened and a few of the rice rollers had disappeared. I managed to at least snap a photo of what they look like.

thingsthatwedo.com - nature valley peanut butter granola thins

I love almost all things peanut butter because I’m a firm believer that almost everything tastes better with a dollop of PB on it. Ice cream? Definitely. Morning toast? Yep. Dinner? Totally.

I practically jumped at the opportunity to grab this box of Nature Valley Peanut Butter Granola Thins. It was on sale at my local grocery store for under $2. Look, I KNOW it says ‘peanut butter flavoured coating’ (translation: likely, not real PB) but I just couldn’t resist. I mean, granola plus PB? Come on! - Continue Reading

thingsthatwedo.com - nature's path trail mixer granola bar

Sometimes, you want a snack but you don’t have time to prepare a home baked goodie so you resort to a store bought boxed one. Fingers crossed, you grab a box of granola bars and hope for the best. Maybe it’ll be made with decent ingredients. Maybe it’ll taste good. Sure, the box tells you what the granola bar is called but that doesn’t mean it’ll taste good.

A while back, I received a number of free Nature’s Path Trail Mixer Pure Oats Chewy Granola Bars for me to sample. I probably should have posted this earlier but honestly, I didn’t get around to it until now. Fair warning, by the time this got posted, the expiry date has past but I sampled it a while back. I just didn’t want you to all think I was snacking on an old granola bar which would then lead me to a somewhat biased review.

Alright, enough chatter, let’s take a look at this Nature’s Path Trail Mixer Pure Oats Chewy Granola Bar a little closer, shall we?
