First off, let me apologize by telling you all that I tried to find the proper Mott’s Fruitsations 100% Juice Ice Bars website but all I could find is the facebook page. The facebook page does give you details on the Mott’s Fruitsations 100% Juice Ice Bars but the links to www.kiskofreezies.com does not seem to be working at the time that I wrote this product food review. I also don’t quite get why the Mott’s Fruitsations 100% Juice Ice Bars isn’t made by Mott’s but hey, I don’t own the company so I don’t have access to those details.
Now, having said that long spiel, I can now tell you that I spotted this bag of Mott’s Fruitsations 100% Juice Ice Bars at my local Loblaws supermarket and after doing a little label comparing, I opted to buy them since they had the least amount of junk in them (i.e. the others, I just couldn’t even pronounce some of the ingredients). There is some comfort in knowing that the Mott’s Fruitsations 100% Juice Ice Bars are made with 100% juice all natural flavours and colours (although certainly not as basic as just popping a tetra box of apple juice in the freezer but this is smaller).
Product review: What happened?
The Mott’s Fruitsations 100% Juice Ice Bars came in 3 different flavours: berry delight, country apple, and summer strawberry. I offered my daughter all 3 flavours and she opted for the berry delight which the one you see in the photo. Boy, did she enjoy the Mott’s Fruitsations 100% Juice Ice Bar. She ate the entire thing and even wanted another one but one was the limit. All in life is a balance, after all. It’s sweet but not too sweet so that’s a good thing.
Now, the Mott’s Fruitsations100% Juice Ice Bars aren’t cheap. We got ours slightly on sale and they were just shy of $5 but at the same time, she’s not having one every day. The bag will likely last all of the entire summer so in my opinion, the Mott’s Fruitsations 100% Juice Ice Bars are a good summer buy. I’d rather have her eat this on a hot summer day than one of the other unidentifiable frozen products that are out there.
Warning: Just today, I am sporting a brand new cut on my finger thanks to the perforated sides of these Mott’s Fruitsations juice ice bars. Did the Mott’s Fruitsations juice ice bars jump out and slice my finger, of course not! I was trying to get one of the Mott’s Fruitsations juice ice bars out for my daughter to enjoy and I had managed to tear off the country apple flavour for her. As I was pulling it out from the bag, I somehow managed to give myself a big cut as I dragged the perforated edges (that now feel more like a serrated knife edge) along my finger. It’s never happened before but after it did, it made me realize that I should caution my readers to be wary that it could happen especially if kids try to grab them out of each other’s hands. Safety comes first so just be careful!
