It’s no secret on ThingsThatWeDo.com that I love peanut butter. At the same time, my love of peanut butter makes me a bit of a PB snob because I won’t eat just any ol’ kind of peanut butter. I do have some standards: the more natural the better. After all, why would you want to mess with the goodness that is peanut butter? Anything else is just a filler and conflicts with my freedom to do as I please with my peanut butter. Allow me to profess my love then for the PC Organics crunchy peanut butter. If you’re a peanut butter lover too, then this is one peanut butter you must try!

Product Review: What is PC Organics crunchy peanut butter?

First off, ask me what the ingredients are for this PC Organics crunchy peanut butter. The only thing in the PC Organics crunchy peanut butter is freshly roasted organic peanuts, that’s it! The next time you’re in the peanut butter aisle, compare a few different varieties of peanut butter and take a look at what they have for ingredients. You may just be shocked to learn that your typical popular peanut butter has a lot more stuff than just peanuts in the ingredients. For this reason alone, the PC Organics crunchy peanut butter earns extra bonus points in my book.

When you first open the jar of PC Organics crunchy peanut butter, you see a layer of oil which you have to stir back into the rest of the peanut butter. Don’t panic, you’re supposed to see that layer of natural peanut oil because no other ingredients were put into the peanut butter to prevent it from separating. A good suggestion would be to open the jar of PC Organics crunchy peanut butter the day before you plan to use it, stick it in the fridge and the next day, it’ll be nicely combined just like all the other peanut butters. Just make sure you mix thoroughly right down to the bottom or you’ll end up having really thick peanut butter at the bottom.

Now, you may think this PC Organics crunchy peanut butter would cost you an arm and a leg. Well, I buy it whenever it goes on sale and so when I buy it, it’s $3.49 for a 500 g jar which I think is a really good deal because it’s just peanuts. One jar of PC Organics crunchy peanut butter also happens to last a really long time in our home because it is so rich that you don’t use very much to satisfy your peanut butter craving.

Taste Test: how does PC Organics crunchy peanut butter taste?

Well, as you can imagine the PC Organics crunchy peanut butter tastes incredibly natural and rich. Open the jar and you are immediately met with a very pungent peanut butter smell. There’s nothing faint about it. Inhale and your brain explodes with images of a peanut butter island and a peanut shell canoe gently floating down a peanut butter river.

So, how does PC Organics crunchy peanut butter taste? PC Organics crunchy peanut butter tastes rich, thick, and tastes just like ground peanut butter with some crunchy bits, and because there’s no sugar added, it’s not sweet at all. Now, for some, this might be a put off, but in our home, we love that there’s no sugar in the PC Organics crunchy peanut butter. We spread it on our toast and then drizzle honey on top and it is divine! And, if you’ve read my other posts, you’ll know I’m a fanatic for adding a scoop of peanut butter into my yogurt. What a great way to add a bit of protein to your daily intake!

Verdict: would I recommend PC Organics crunchy peanut butter?

Yes, I would absolutely recommend PC Organics crunchy peanut butter to anyone who regularly consumes peanut butter in their home. I personally can’t stand all the extra junk that is in some of the more popular brands of peanut butter. The extra ingredients are just fillers that detract away from the true flavour of peanut butter. The more filler, the fewer peanuts you have to use which increases the profit margin. The PC Organics crunchy peanut butter has only peanuts and peanuts only. Need I say more?

For me, the only peanut butter we’ll be eating in our home will come from the PC Organics line. Of course, I’ll just be sure to stock up when it goes on sale!
