An odd saying perhaps but fitting nonetheless.
Today is December 25th, Christmas as many would know it to be. For those who celebrate, there will be family traditions and presents to open but this holiday season I’m reminded of family and cherished memories.
Every day should be a valued day whether it be Christmas or not. Holidays like Christmas should remind us to be thankful of those around us and for those we don’t know that have crossed our paths and made our days a little brighter. The neighbour who randomly shows up with treats; the person on the transit who opens the door for you when your hands are full; the laughs you’ve shared with loved ones; the work colleagues who seem to be the only ones that get your jokes.
Take a moment to appreciate all that’s in your lives. It’s not about how much you have or how lavish your life may be. Take a moment and find the true meaning of what’s important to you.
Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and here’s to an even better 2018.
