Recall – Canada and United States: Hamilton Beach bébé 5-Cup Baby Food Maker Reason for Recall: imagine using the different shredding or slicing discs that come with the machine only to have the stainless steel pin in the food bowl lid to come apart and fall into the food you’re making. Then, factor in that you’re using this machine to make baby food. Translation: CREEPY! Click here to read more.
Reminder from the FDA: Sometimes Drugs and the Liver Don’t Mix This was an eye opener for me. We should all be mindful of the medication we take because they can do some serious damage to our liver. Think of all the hard work your liver does. Well, drugs whether they be prescribed, over-the-counter, or natural, could pose a risk for your liver. There are so many factors to consider.
Case in point: acetaminophen. It’s common and in a ton of different over-the-counter drugs but take too much and it’s one of the most common causse of drug-related liver injury (that’s what it said in the post from the FDA). See what I mean? Click here for more details.
Recall – Canada: Commercial Electric brand basic hanging shop lights Reason for Recall: FIRE HAZARD. Yes, you read that correctly. Apparently, the lamp sockets from this product may pose a serious fire risk. AND YES, there have been incidents, a LOT of them. With over 111,000 units sold, this is no laughing matter.
